The Hill Team is discovering Southern Oregon. Tonight we went for a wine tasting in the barrel room at Henry Estate Winery in Umpqua Valley. We also enjoyed a tasting from Reustle Prayer Rock Vineyards and Misty Oaks Vineyard. Tolly’s Restaurant supplied miniature Reuben’s, Chef’s “World Best Burgers’ in slider fashion, Lamb Beitti, and Tolly’s Kalamata Bread with hazelnut, crusted goat cheese and pumpkin seed oil.

After meeting the winemakers and a delightful tasting, we dined at Tolly’s in Oakland and shared a wonderful winemakers’ dinner hosted by Executive Chef/Owner Jeffrey Parker and Owner Myra Plant.

The entire experience was one of the nicest winemaker dinners we’ve experienced and deserves much more copy–which we will provide after the glow of the evenings wine has settled.

Southern Oregon has so much to offer and discover. It is well worth the visit. More later…
