The Hill team used to live in New York City. Even though this is the beginning of Spring, it is snowing in New York!

Now we live in year round summer, and make sunshine lemonade and sparkling wine refreshers.

Here is one of our favorite old time winter drinks.

Hot rum Glog
2 teaspoons sugar or honey
1/4 to 1/2 cup boiling water
1-1/2 ounces dark rum
1/2 ounce lemon juice
2-3 cloves
Sprinkle of nutmeg (we substitute allspice)
Cinnamon stick

Directions:
Dissolve sugar or honey in a little boiling water in a heavy goblet.
Add dark rum, lemon juice, cloves and a sprinkle of nutmeg (we substitute a few sprinkles of allspice).
Stir well.
Top with boiling water.
Serve with a cinnamon stick.

A great drink to usher winter-in or out and also good for a cold.

Cheers!
