While the Tandem Tasters were judging at the Oregon Chocolate Festival in Ashland, Oregon, we came across Organic Nation Spirits. This is not what you might expect at a statewide chocolate festival.

In addition to Organic Nation Vodka tasting good, they made a delicious recipe of Organic Nation Vodka Raspberry Sauce which they poured over a great chocolate cake. Yummy. For this unusual pairing, they received Runner Up for the Non-Traditional & Innovative Use of Chocolate. Congratulations to them for being so creative.

Organic Nation Vodka Raspberry Sauce

10 ounces organic raspberries
2 tablespoons organic confectioners sugar
3 ounces water
1/8 teaspoon organic almond extract
1 ounce O-N vodka

Mise en Place (French, everything in place).

Bring raspberries, water and confectioners sugar to a light simmer.
Remove from heat.
Strain seeds if desired.

This was great and has many uses. Let us know how you liked it.
