Cinco De Mayo – May 5th, is one of my favorite celebrations.

Maralyn saw where it all began in Puebla, Mexico.

I like to concoct my own version of a Mexican Tequila drink. Let your imagine go and use a favorite fruit juice. Here are the basics:

Cinco Celebration Cocktail

3 ounces fruit juice or nectar of choice
1 -2 ounces of tequila. The Hill Team prefers Senior Rio.
squeezes of fresh limes
ice
garnish – lime wedge, fresh fruit skewers (pineapple works well), or a fresh herb sprig such as mint or basil.

Directions:

Fill a tall glass with ice, stir in the other ingredients, and garnish.

Tips: We like to add a few splashes of sparkling water for effervescence. If you add Poma, pomegranate juice, your drink will be a rich, ruby red.

Enjoy – Deliciosa!
