Norm and I had the pleasure of dining at Blue Water Bistro for a delightful meal. The Coconut Point Mall on route 41 has plenty of establishments to chose for dinner, but Blue Water drew us in and it was a great choice. From the greeter through waitress and manager visiting table, the experience was favorably and favorably memorable.

After a long day of flying, the section of the menu that captured us was the “Grilled Fish.” It listed 10 selections along with home water and included a “Pick A Sauce” and “Pick A Side.” The prices ranged from $13.90 to $29.90.

The sauces included Wasabi Citrus Soy, Zip Zap Sauce, Chipotle Hollandaise, Scampi Sauce, Fresh Tomato-Garlic and Wine, Mango Sweet & Sour, Tomato Salsa-Cilantro and Lime, Bearnaise and Lemon Butter Sauce.

The sides covered a wide variety: Mac & Cheese, Broccoli Kung Pao, Creamy Parmesan Corn & Cous Cous, Potatoes au Gratin, Sweet Potato, Baked Potato, Fries, Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes, Coconut Sticky Rice, Ugly Tomatoes with Sweet Basil & EXVO, Famous Bistro Onion Rings with Chipotle BBQ, Sauteed Green Beans with Sweet Potatoes & Almonds, Roasted Butternut Squash with Brown Sugar & Coconut and Oven Roasted Zucchini.

We both picked the Tilapia. Norm picked the Mango Sweet & Sour and Onion Rings. I opted for the Scamp Sauce and Parmesan Corn & Cous Cous. They were both equally good. The best was the fish being grilled to perfection–tender and flaky.

The menu was loaded with many other delicious sounding entress and specials. The desserts covered a nice vaiety and we shared an unusual presentation of Strawberry Shortcake that was moist and tasty.

In addition to the menu selection variety being good, it offered a 3 course special menu. They are expected to have a new small plate special menu in the next month or so. We will both enjoying trying Blue Water Bistro again. Located at: Coconut Point Mall, 23151 Village Shops Way, Suite 109, Estero, Florida 33928, Tel: 239.949-BLUE.
