It is not too late to hop aboard a boat, Cape Air, drive or take the Boston bus to the beautiful harbor of Rockland, Maine. Their 62nd annual lobster festival begins 7/9-8/2. The weather is great, airfares low and the lobsters are plentiful.

The Hill Team was there for a preview. We feasted on oysters, crabs, shrimp and,of course, lobsters served in many delectable ways. The friendly 4 Historic Inn’s of Rockland, along with resorts and B&B;’s will go out of their way to accomodate.

There is more than devouring lobsters in this lovely resort city of Rockland. We visited many museums, a spa, award winning restaurants, schooner sailing and lobstering.

Tip: Wednesday, 7/29, is free admission day. Mainelobsterfesr.com 207.596.0376.

For the Historic Inns you can call 877-ROC-INNS (762-4667).

Enjoy the mid coast of Maine. We sure did.
