We spotted this classic old “woodie” at the Owl’s Head Transportation Museum near Rockland, Maine last month. I wish we could take it on our upcoming ” foodie road trip” from Phoenix to Fallbrook, Ca. in late July.

We’ll be food judges at the Taste of Fallbrook. There is so much talent, it will be fun.

When I told an LA writer friend that we would we would heading his way in Maralyn’s sporty convertible, he warned us not to drive off a cliff. Interesting he thinks of us as Thelma and Louise.

I will bring along my dog eared copy of Eat Your Way Across the USA by the famous Sterns from my home State of Connecticut. Although a decade old, this book, along with Road Food, is still my bible when it comes to finding those perfect pit stops along the path.
