When Maralyn told me that Nancy and Lisa used to live in one of my favorite towns, Julian, California, I had to dig out this photo. This is the one of the best Margaritas I have ever experienced, even in Mexico.

It is the basic Margarita recipe, but made with freshly picked summer strawberries, slightly crushed to release their fruity flavors.

The staff at Margaritas makes it in a mason jar and shakes it over ice. The rim is enhanced with lemon and salt, or lemon and sugar, to your own taste.

I sat on their outdoor terrace in the sunshine by the petunias and sipped away.

Cheers!
