There is unique opportunity to visit La Cocino que Conta, the kitchen that sings, one of the happiest places we know.

The Hill Team thrives on discovering new places in the world to experience and to write about for Where and What in the World, and other travel columns.

A return visit to Rancho La Puerto near San Diego, in Tecate, Mexico, is one of the healthy and relaxing destinations which is tops on our list when opportunities to travel are presented.

We have recently learned that renown chef Rick Bayless, will be teaching and cooking at La Cocina Que Canta. Of course the cocina is only one part of the Rancho La Puerto experience. The Ranch has been called the world’s most complete fitness and spa vacation program. We agree.

October, with warm sunny days and cool evenings is a perfect time of year to experience the gardens and organic farms, which have been producing farm to fork products for 70 years.

Reservations can be made at www.rancholapuerto.com or by calling 877-440-7772.

The ranch is offering special packages throughout the fall that save 20%, a true bargain.

There are a few spots still open for Rick Bayless and the other guest teaching chefs. Peggy Nickerbocker will be there beginning on Saturday, September 19-26. We wish we could meet her and cook with her, however our team will learning more about the history and wines of Virginia next week.
