Although I do not claim to have a sweet tooth, I love honey. My grandmother did not buy cough medicine, but heated fresh lemon juice and honey to soothe a sore throat.
I still love this combination of honey and lemon, only now I have it to guild the guilty pleasures of old fashioned southern fried chicken.
A couple of weekends back I watched a Bobby Flay fried chicken throw-down. What fun to see him serve his double dip, buttermilk fried chicken with honey and touch of lemon zest.
By the way, Bobby won this one.

They co-authored "Our Love Affairs with Food & Travel" and joined French Master Chef Herve Laurent in writing "Cooking Secrets: The Why and How" Brenda has been active in the California Writer's Club, IFWTWA, and the Santa Barbara's Writers Conference. Maralyn and I will be heading back to Rancho La Puerta in July to give our presentation on writing and marketing your book, as well as bringing back some freshly picked off the farm nutritious and tasty recipes.
