I just love it when my grown up children send me news of places they found around the world. My son, Matt, who loves to frequent Baltimore for it’s history and crab meat, suggests this green, eco-friendly rustic tavern.

The name is Woodberry Kitchen. He and his friends enjoy the brick walls, old beams and friendly vibes. Hearty dishes such as Indian summer flatbread can be found in the renovated Clipper Mill Complex. Of course the beer and ale on tap is fresh and delicious.

Since he has worked as a sous chef and short-order cook, I trust his judgment. Recipes to follow when he remembers to bring me a favorite on his next visit. Spring is finally hitting the Washington Baltimore area.

Try the Woodberry Kitchen if you are near-by and want a crab-cake alternative.
