J’s Oyster Bar on the harbor in Portland, Maine is just that, a bar. Friendly, crowded, and casual. It’s distinguishing difference is the food. It’s delicious, simple, and fairly priced.

Norm and I just wanted some soup after flying all day. Our shuttle driver and desk clerk at the Residence Inn by Marriott, both recommended J’s. So, off we went.

We wanted about 6 or 7 blocks to J’s and it was worth it. We both ordered lobster stew, and the couple next to us from London, ordered lobster rolls.

All of us agreed. Delicious, fast, and fairly priced.
