How fortunate that Maralyn and I once experienced the spa at the highly acclaimed, historic Oriental Hotel in Bangkok. Now, I cannot wait to return to the popular Oriental for an authentic Thai cooking class, and the perfect spa treatment, called the “jet lag massage.”

I will have earned this spa experienceone after spending over 27 hours flying from Lyon, France, with Maralyn Hill this week. Now Maralyn and Norm are off to Australia. My son, Matt, and I fly back to Bangkok soon.

The Oriental “jet leg” treatment combines a mask, a floral facial or a mud wrap. This spa is an oasis of calm in a vibrant city. The traditional Thai teak building is the ideal place to unwind and learn more about Asian healing philosophies.

The Oriental Hotel has been voted one of the best places to stay in the world for over a century.
