Pink Flamingo on Tampa Bay by B C Hill

I discovered a sweet and tangy drink at The Whistle Stop today. This cafe is on Main Street in the charming village of Safety Harbor, Florida.

Amber prepares this colorful cocktail with ruby red grapefruit, a splash of lime juice and a generous shot of Stoli Vanilla.

Just shake and serve.

Co-owner Jim, who greets his customers at the door, recommended the fried green tomatoes as a perfect pairing with the pink flamingo.

I can hardly wait to return in two weeks for a community art show. I will be tasting and writing more about this unique cafe just down the road from The Safety Harbor Resort and Spa, on Tampa Bay.
