However, in the summer, it is time for special recipes and cool cocktails.  These frosty libations that Visit Phoenix sent out are from a Phoenix icon, the Hotel Valley Ho.~MDH

Summer Drink Recipes from the Hotel Valley Ho

Cucumber Caesar

  • 2 oz. Effen Cucumber Vodka
  • 8 oz. Clamato Tomato Cocktail
  • Dash of Worcestershire Sauce
  • Dash of Tabasco
  • Salt + Pepper

Shake well, pour into a 14-oz. glass with ice and a salted rim, garnish with a lemon wedge and Spanish olives.

Cucumber Caesar

New Orleans Hurricane

  • 1 ½ oz. Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
  • 1 oz. Myers’s Dark Rum
  • 4 oz. Fresh-Squeezed Orange Juice
  • 4 oz. Pineapple Juice
  • Splash of Grenadine

Shake well, pour into a 14-oz. glass with ice, garnish with an orange wheel and cherries.

New Orleans Hurricane

Mudslide

  • 2 oz. Stoli Vodka
  • 2 oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream Liqueur
  • 1 ½ oz. Kahula Coffee Liqueur

Blend all ingredients, pour into a 16-oz. glass and garnish with an orange wheel.
