Recently, I had the opportunity to get an Applegate Mini-Pizza Kit to test out and review. It was packed with the following:

1 box King Arthur Classic Pizza Crust Mix (I highly recommend)

1 28 oz can Jersey Fresh crushed tomatoes

Pizza Toppings

Pizza Toppings

1 package Applegate Provolone

1 package Applegate Turkey Mini Pepperoni

I added:

Parmesan Cheese, for grating

Extra-virgin olive oil

I’d also suggest adding some additional toppings of your choice.

Pizza Making

Pizza Making

Preheat the oven to 500°F.

Make the pizza dough according to package instructions, then divide into 12 equal balls. Arrange on an oiled tray and keep covered with plastic wrap until ready to use.

Pat out 3 rounds of dough on an oiled baking sheet. Spread a little sauce on each pizza, ehten tear some provolone over the sauce.

Top with the pepperoni and any other toppings you like. Finish up with some grated Parmesan and drizzle of olive oil.

Repeat with the remaining dough and toppings to make 12 mini- pizzas.

Pop the pizzas, in batches, into the oven and bake until bubbling and golden for 10-12 minutes. Let cool for 2 minutes before cutting.

My kit came with an apron, pastry cloth, and pizza cutter.

When I saw the pepperoni, I was not excited. I like sausage, but I’m not a fan of pepperoni. But, this was very good. I discovered that both the pork and turkey pepperoni was 100% vegetarian grain-fed pork or turkey, without fillers, no antibiotics, no hormones, and less fat and sodium than conventional brands.

This is good and quick pizza which you can purchase in supermarkets and grocery stores that sell organic and natural meat products. You can find a store locator on http://applegate.com.

I was pleased that this tasted so good, was quick and easy. I’d recommend you check out Applegate products.
