Benton Box Lunch at Domo

Benton Box Lunch at Domo

When we explore a new spot in the world, our first question is: Where is the best place to dine?

Desert Hot Springs has some of the best sushi I have tasted since Japan. Only opened for 6 months, Domo is highly recommended. We ask the locals.

My favorite is the Orange Blossom sushi roll…spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado, asparagus, and pink salmon. A fresh seaweed salad with sweet soy sauce is a perfect meal.

I arrived at 11:30am. By noon every seat in this small cafe was filled. Several customers arrived for sushi to go.

Each morsel I tasted was hand crafted in front of my eyes. The sushi and sashimi were brilliant in color, taste and ocean aromas.

My bento box combination of tempura, sushi and sashimi was delicious, generous, and an excellent value. Domo is a family affair.

This week I head back for more fresh sea food at Domo in Desert Hot Springs. I will be heading to Phoenix on Route 10.  Domo is well worth the extra time for a taste of culinary creations in California’s desert.
