Nestled between the rolling hills of Rancho Murieta and the panoramic Sierra Nevadas, The Murieta Inn and Spa has made its public debut. Located just 25 miles southeast of downtown Sacramento, the newly-constructed, four-story, luxury boutique hotel is a reflection of the surrounding equine community and the Northern California countryside.

Managed by Marcus® Hotels & Resorts , a nationally recognized hotel owner and management company, and a division of The Marcus Corporation, the property offers a truly unique guest experience. The hotel includes a selection of 83 beautifully appointed rooms and suites and a distinct combination of amenities, including dining at The Gate restaurant and bar (opening early February), a full-service spa and salon at The Cupola (opening early spring), a relaxing pool area, and up to 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. DESIGN

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by classic Spanish Hacienda style architecture that pays homage to California’s heritage. Designed by Perkins Williams & Cotterill, the property’s design, decor and amenities – including an outdoor resort-style pool, terrace patio featuring a roaring fireplace, picturesque landscape, delectable dining and beverage programs, and more – will leave guests marveling at their destination getaway experience.

The Murieta Inn and Spa is the brainchild of Carol Anderson Ward, a celebrated community equine visionary and owner of the nearby Murieta Equestrian Center . In addition to heritage pieces hand-selected by Ward herself, equestrian themed furniture and art – procured by Cares & Whoas , a boutique store that benefits the West Coast Equine Foundation – are tastefully incorporated throughout the property. Handcrafted, custom woodwork and rustic metal pieces by Cumberland Ironworks , Inc. are also highlighted across the property and grounds.

GUEST ROOMS AND SUITES

The 83 luxury guest rooms and suites include uniquely designed king and queen rooms, with a selection featuring balcony views, private patios and parlor suites. Ranging from 275 square feet to over 550 square feet, guest room options include:

Each room is also equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi, 50″ HD LED TVs, and Sonifi personal screencasting technology, which allows guests to stream Netflix, Hulu, YouTube and more. Additional room features include plush robes, AVEDA bath products, large work desk, full built-in wet bar, microwave, in-room fridge, Keurig Coffee maker, and a CubieBlue alarm clock and phone charging station.

THE GATE

The Gate at The Murieta Inn and Spa will deliver a unique “farm-to-fork” dining experience, delighting guests staying at the hotel and adding new vibrancy to Rancho Murieta’s charming dining scene. To create The Gate’s seasonal menus, Chef Brian Hawkins will artfully utilize produce from The Murieta Inn and Spa‘s own Angel Wing Farm , a five-acre farm and state-of-the-art greenhouse located on the property. Chef Hawkins is working with local ranchers and fisheries to source the restaurant’s meats, poultry and fish to complement the menu’s bright, yet hearty, fare. The Gate will also feature a full bakery program, allowing for the hotel’s breads, desserts and other baked delights to be crafted on-site.

The Gate’s beverage program will feature an extensive wine list, including selections from the nearby Amador and El Dorado wine country, a private bourbon collection and a variety of tap beers from the region’s vibrant craft beer scene. Craft and classic cocktails will feature premium spirits enhanced with fruits, flowers and other botanicals from Angel Wing Farm.

The Gate is currently open daily from 4:00pm to 9:00pm where you can come and enjoy a sampling of the menu.
