Update from Down Under

Update from Down Under

Hello to all our wonderful followers. My original plan was to post every other day while we’ve been in Melbourne, as well as traveling around Victoria and Tasmania. Obviously, that did not happen. But there is more to come on the food scene in this area, which is exploding with wonderful fresh ingredients. We’ve experienced such talented chefs and delicious food and wine.

For those who know me, they know raw oysters are not anything I ever order. But I did eat some freshly shucked ones.

So keep watching and I’ll be sharing more soon.

I would have flown to Australia and back just to witness

The wine must have been even better than you reported.

  4. Maralyn says:

The wine in Victoria and Tasmania was exceptional and I enjoyed it all.

Did not mean to send my comments twice, but still in awe. Is there a furture trip for IFWTWA so we can all enjoy the wonderful activities that you and Norm experienced?

  7. Maralyn says:

There certainly is. We are going to hold the 2013 IFWTWA Conference in Melbourne with post trips to all the regions. It is going to be fantastic. You can see my interview with Sandra Chipchase on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miqvqjfqqLY. The conference itself will take place at the same time as the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, which is considered one of the best in the world.
