The Sta. Rita Hills Wine Alliance pulled out all the corks for an enchanted evening under the setting sun and bright stars. A record crowd of food and wine lovers enjoyed unique varieties of world class wines and wood grilled cuisine.
A warm sunny welcome to Hilliard Bruce Vineyard and Winery in Lompoc, California.
We began the weekend festivities on Vineyard View Lane in Lompoc at the charming property of Hilliard Bruce Vineyards.
Guests sipped glasses of cool, crisp Chardonnay with fig, goat and prosciutto pizzas by Bella Forno, then paired perfect Pinot Noirs with Brie cheese, cranberries, apricots, and pistachios by Central Coast Specialties.
All this noshing was made more festive with the mellow music by The Very Lonesome Trio.
Over 25 vineyards shared their small batch, rich and savory wines from more than a thousand acres of Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. The lucky ticket holders were able to meet the producers, farmers and wine growers over glasses of exclusive wine offerings from unique library stashes while feasting on gourmet cheeses and wood fired pizzas.
I met folks from Nebraska, Nashville and London, England.
And this was only the beginning.
