Where can you go, for a long walk or a short bike or boat ride, and find the most delicious coffee in the entire coffee lovers city of Sarasota, Florida?
There is a small, local hidden gem, just around the corner, known as Sarasota Bay Roasting Company. It is a neighborhood kind of place. I went in for take out and stayed for an hour. The staff, customers, and ambiance are as warm and welcoming as that first scent of Peruvian dark roast or the Colombian organic roast. Drinking SBRC’s coffee, no matter which one I savor, is similar to a wine or chocolate tasting. The aromas and flavors are so subtle and sublime that I sip it straight and want more. No milk or sugar needed for the queen of cream.
Although challanging to find, this delightful coffee home is growing fast. Next week they will open a new wine and beer bar. Now I can relax in my second living room morning, afternoon and evening. This is a place for a quiet read on the comfortable couch or a lively discussion around the round table. For our local readers there is a grand re-opening on December 11. Hope to see you there.
