The Traveling Trio of the Hill Team love Singapore. We all agree that our numerous visits there have been a highlight of our traveling life.

Raffles Singapore Sling - Photo by M. D. Hill

.

Ed, A writer friend of ours , is heading to Singapore this summer. I asked him to check our favorite spots and report back. This tour includes one of the sexiest bathrooms in the world, according to the Cunard Travel Guide, and us. This bathroom is in the lovely Ritz Carlton Hotel. The food served at the Summer Pavilion is great too. I suggested he try the salmon.

.

Of course we are recommending that Ed venture to the classically elegant Raffles Hotel. This is a perfect summer spot for high tea, or dinner. I know the food is good because I took a cooking class at Raffles. A must is a stop at the Long Bar for a Singapore Sling. Maralyn took the photo and secured the recipe in 2001 when she and Norm were each enjoying one. We also featured this drink in our book, “Our Love Affairs With Food & Travel.”
