Kalik & Bloody Mary Mix Photo B C Hill

I was looking for a simple drink to take to an impromtu beach brunch to celebrate “back to school.” There is a fancier version and I forget the name, but the point was to keep it very simple…3 ingedients.

Ingredients

Ice cubes

Bloody Mary mix (I like Tabasco brand)

Beer (I prefer Mexican Tecate, or Bahamian)

(Note: Keep all in a cooler filled with ice to keep very cold)

Method

Mix all, approximate equal parts, in a pitcher and pour into disposable glasses. I love beer and Bloody Mary’s.

I wasn’t sure if I would like my purist tastes combined. It was cold, effervescent and delicious, especialy on a warm beach.

The good part is that one could choose only one if desired, either a beer or a virgin Mary. However, we all downed the combo. We paired this drink with a sausage, onion and pepper fritata. What an easy way to entertain.
