Irish I were back at The Griswold Inn on Wednesday, March l7, for a spirited St. Patrick’s Day celebration.
This is the place to go to usher in Spring and enjoy a wee bit o’ Ireland. I have been to the beautiful old tap room with my dad, many friends, and recently with my son to raise our glasses together with the Paul family.
Favorite drinks include the requisite Guinness. I prefer a “black and tan” or their special libation called “The nutty Irishman.”
Although we usually order the corned beef and cabbage, Chef James Patrick Gallagher has created some special additions. Try the Dublin beef stew or Mrs. O’Donoghue’s cod bake with an Irish twist.
Tip – 1: Come early for happy hour with complementary Guinness marinated hot wings. And stay until 8:00 p.m. for live music with Blues on the Rocks – Even I can dance to this dynamic blues and rock music.
Cheers!

Call for dinner and/or room reservations at a special St. Patrick’s day price.
Tip – 2: One of the charming rooms at the Gris at a special price will only add to your enjoyment. I used to live close to the Gris, yet took advantage of their reasonable and comfortable rooms and delicious breakfasts to add even more pleasure to the celebration.
