FIND AN ALL AMERICAN SWEETHEART AT DISTRICT AMERICAN KITCHEN & WINE BAR Cocktail Recipe is below menu.

Have a love affair with an all American sweetheart and enjoy a scrumptious three-course dinner when you celebrate Valentine’s Day at District American Kitchen & Wine Bar this year. Whether you’re solo and seeking to sip your single sorrows away, or an inevitably inseparable duo, you deserve to indulge in an exceptional culinary experience.

Recommended for the dynamic duos, this year’s Valentine’s Day menu includes:

Amuse from the chef called the District FB&J. Wait! What does the ‘F’ stand for in FB&J? The ‘F’ stands for foie butter instead of peanut butter. Foie butter is super rich and savory. Our chefs combine Hudson Valley foie butter with a thick and fruitful strawberry jam, some savory herbs, and a little onion to obtain bursting flavors of goodness! This twist on the typical PB&J pairs well with Gloria Ferrer Blanc de Noirs.

First course includes your choice of sticky pork cheeks, scallops and sweet corn, or truffled ricotta stuffed rigatoni. This course pairs well with Domain Carneros pinot noir or Heitz Cellar sauvignon blanc.

Second course features your choice of Schreiner’s bacon wrapped prime tenderloin filet, Three Ways to Love your Lobster with lobster pillows, vanilla butter poached lobster and lobster tomato olive salad, or crispy hearts of palm under a béarnaise blanket. Pair this second course with Wilson Daniels cabernet sauvignon or Wilson Daniels chardonnay.

Third course includes a lover’s trio of chocolate and strawberries. Simply divine! This sinfully decadent dessert includes a chocolate dusted champagne shooter, chocolate French-kissed strawberries, and a chocolate molten cake with strawberry ganache. Add the final touch and pair dessert with Edmeades Perli late harvest zinfandel or Mumm Napa brut.

This Valentine’s Day dinner menu is available at District American Kitchen & Wine Bar from 5 to 7 p.m. February 11-14, 2012. Prices are $49 for dinner and $30 for the additional wine pairing. A bar menu will be available for lounge patrons. All guests can enjoy a live acoustic guitarist in an upscale atmosphere that feels more like your neighborhood retreat. Complimentary three-hour self-parking validation is available. Restaurant reservations are required. Call (602) 817-5400 or visitwww.districtrestaurant.com.

And don’t forget about the soloists! For the singles, we recommend a Valentine’s Day elixir to rid your single sorrows away.
