WSET certified wine specialist Rebecca Robinson knows her craft well.

While at CORK, on poplular St. Armands Circle in Sarasota, Florida, Rebecca recommended two excellent wines from the Willamette Valley in Oregon.

One was a Ponzi Vineyard Pinot blanc, aged in French Oak. The citrus and stone fruit aromatics paired well with Cork’s cheeses and bruchetta canapes.

For dinner of rich Maine lobster, I chose a 2007 pinot noir from Rex Hill, a Hill Team favorite while on the Oregon wine trail and recently as judges in Ashland at the Oregon Chocolate Festival.

Pinot noir and chocolate are a good marriage.

Cheers!
