I just moved. One of my happy chores on the long to do list was to create a magic hour cocktail for the new home. This is it — Margarita de la Casa.

This drink was inspired by a recipe in the Washington Post by J. Wilson.

Remember the Harvey Wallbanger? Yes, I am dating myself, but the Hill team still loves them.

My house margarita is similar to that old favorite. Since I now have an orange and lime tree, I adapted this sunset summer sip.

Margarita de la Casa

Ingredients for 1 serving

Ice cubes
1 1/2 ounces of your favorite tequila (we like Senor Rio)
4 ounces freshly squeezed orange juice
3/4 ounce Galliano
1 lime wedge

Method

Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
Add tequila.
Add fresh o.j.
Stir and top with Galliano.
Squeeze in some lime Juice and drop in the wedge.

Enjoy!
