How delightful to return to Miracle Springs Resort after seven years. A Diamond in the Desert was the title of a story we posted in 2008 on Global Writes. The Hill team was enthused about the healing hot springs, food, and spa.
Yet, it is the people at this unique place that make it special. The entire staff is friendly, helpful, professional, and hands on. What a surprise to find so many still there. Although this desert gem remains a comfortable getaway, I noticed many updates and improvements.
I lived in Florida when I first discovered Miracle Springs. Now a Californian, and only two hours away, I have returned five times in two months.
The spa features top notch professionals and many custom services. The ambiance is cozy and quiet.
My gentle pressure massage by Nick, was customized to treat my tender tendons. Called the Combination Massage, this treatment dissolves blocked energy while relaxing the entire body.
Elena offered a complimentary consultation before and after treating my skin to an expert facial. Named Sothys Specialty Facial, her treatment included a luxurious face, neck and shoulder massage.
I was relaxed and glowing after these two services. Be sure to ask about midweek spa specials. The next morning I booked a natural sea pedicure with hydrating extracts and a mineral clay and spa crystal manicure. This custom mani-pedi lasted far longer than my standard services.
Miracle’s desert oasis is an ideal escape for folks from busy LA, San Diego, Las Vegas and Phoenix. One can be active all day, or simply recline on a deck chair or float in a choice of eight mineral pools.
Once you check into your spacious room with balcony or deck, there is no need to leave. The views are breathtaking, the cuisine is excellent, and the spa is one of the best values I have experienced.
If you enjoy shopping, fine dining, hiking, sightseeing, and museums, Miracle Hot Springs Hotel is the perfect base. Palm Springs airport is not far. Although I enjoy the bar and food at the casual resort restaurant, excellent Mexican and outstanding sushi (Domo – 13440 Palm Dr.) are minutes away walking or driving.
Last week I noticed many family groups, women on retreat, couples, and solo travelers enjoying the ambiance Miracle Springs. One can enjoy spa services as an outside guest.
