Dubai- The beautiful land of dessert immersed in luxury. More popularly recognised as the leading tourist destination in today’s scenario, Dubai is one of the seven emirates of the UAE. For the love of tourism, Dubai has topped charts since past recent years. Encapsulating the beauty of never-ending sand dunes along with astonishing buildings, the city of Dubai has managed to gain ample popularity in a number of travellers from around the world.
In spite of the exponential rise in the number of tourists each year, Dubai sticks to its own set of protocols and cultural factors. Being a part of UAE, several laws and traditions of this city set the bar high for all the people. And be it, tourists or localities, everyone has to abide by the system.
So, if you are also planning to go ahead to this mesmerising land of Arabic culture, you need to make sure you are well equipped with the following things-
Climate and Weather
Dubai has a dry subtropical climate with super hot summer having an average daytime temperature between 42-45 degrees. While the Spring season also manages to be mostly hot; Winters in Dubai are bearable. The average temperature around this time is 20-25 degrees. Therefore, the most suitable time to visit Dubai is from November to March. This season or time is considered as the peak time for the tourists too.
Must-visit Destinations
Dubai is well-known for its exquisite beauty and infrastructure. Being a deserted city, Dubai has maintained itself extremely well. While it’s pretty impossible to visit all the well-known places in a small trip, however, you can plan to pay a call on some of them according to your choice. Burj Khalifa, Dubai Museum, Jumeirah Mosque, Dubai Aquarium, Dubai Mall, Burj al-Arab, Jumeirah Beach, are some of the best destinations that you can’t afford to miss, no matter how small you plan your trip to be!
Clothing and Attire
As fancy as Dubai is becoming with each passing year, there are still a lot of traditions to abide by. Though the city is surrounded by tourists, everyone has to take strict care of clothing. One should take care of wearing not so revealing clothes in public places. To stay safe, keep dresses just above the knee level and cover shoulders. All in all exposure in public areas is a big no no. However, poolside inside the hotels can be exploited and people are free to wear swimwear and other suitable clothing.
Laws and Rules
Apart from taking care of attire and clothing, there are a lot of issues which can raise the concern of Dubai police and mind it, they are pretty serious about it. Loud music, alcohol, nightlife, driving and many other things are not taken casually. Hence, one or the other rules and regulations in such cases are applicable. If and when you are planning to visit Dubai, make sure you follow all minor and major laws in order to avoid getting into trouble.
Transport and Travel
Several means of transportation are available in Dubai. Enlisted as one of the most developed cities in UAE, congestion in traffic is a major issue. However, buses, taxis, and metros are the most reliable means when you are in for a tour of the city. Most preferable amongst these is the public taxis as they are readily available on the roads and the charges are according to the meter.
So that’s that! Dubai is an ornate place and deserves to be visited once in a lifetime at least. Before you plan your visit, keep these points in mind and you’ll be all good.
