CV Villas analysed a whopping 154,624 tracks across over 7,000 playlists worldwide to determine which tune is the biggest vacation hit. The data also revealed the most popular vacation artists and predicted which tracks are set to soundtrack our 2020 trips away
MEDUZA’s tune Piece Of Your Heart came out on top and is featured in more vacation playlists than any other song, while Calvin Harris is the most popular artist, featuring in a staggering 26% of all vacation playlists.
Senorita by Shawn Mendes is the third most featured vacation track, and its popularity is set to continue into 2020. Post Malone & Dua Lipa are new entries in top 10 for this year, while Ed Sheeran features twice. Check out the top poolside playlists and top vacation songs of all time below!

January 2020: CV Villas has revealed the songs and artists that soundtrack our getaways the most by analysing data from various vacation playlists on Spotify. Amounting to over 154,624 songs across just over 7,000 different playlists, the company wanted to provide inspiration to anyone stuck on what to add to their own playlist, knowing that there’s no better place to listen to some good music than on vacay.
The most featured track across all vacation playlists was MEDUZA’s massive summer tune Piece Of Your Heart. In at second place, Calvin Harris’ Summer has been added to 235 playlists. Close behind is Dance Monkey by Tones and I, found in 218 vacation playlists.
Using the findings from the research, CV Villas has created the ultimate playlist that contains the 50 most popular tracks from vacation playlists.

When it comes to the most popular artists, it’s Calvin Harris who tops the popularity charts, with his tracks appearing a massive 1,802 times. Up next it’s Ed Sheeran pulling in a total of 1,352 appearances, and close behind it’s Post Malone, whose songs were selected 1,187 times.
