Craft your Collingwood!

Another holiday weekend is upon us! While the brown spirits category enjoys a remarkable resurgence in North America, there are plenty of cocktail companions to reach for as you plan your 4th of July festivities. But before you get started with star-spangled celebrations, your friends from the Great White North would like to raise a glass to all North American Whiskies as we celebrate Canada Day this Friday, July 1.

Made at Canada’s longest continuously owned and operated distillery in the town of Collingwood, Ontario, Collingwood Blended Canadian Whisky is a relatively new player in the super-premium Canadian whisky category – which shows double digit growth. With a unique toasted maplewood finish, Collingwood is unmistakably a product of the vigorous Canadian spirit and landscape.

COLLINGWOOD SOUR

Ingredients:

1.5 oz. Collingwood

.75 oz. simple syrup

.75 oz. lemon juice

Method:

Mix all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice, and pour into a glass with ice.

Collingwood Canadian Mule

COLLINGWOOD CANADIAN MULE 

Ingredients:

1.5 oz. Collingwood

3 oz. ginger beer

Splash of lime juice

Method:

Mix all ingredients over ice. Garnish with a lime.

COLLINGWOOD DRY MANHATTAN

Ingredients:

2 oz. Collingwood

.5 oz. extra-dry vermouth

3 dashes orange bitters

Method:

Mix all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice, and strain into a martini glass.

Tom Collingwood

TOM COLLINGWOOD

Ingredients:

2 oz. Collingwood

.75 oz. simple syrup

1 oz. lemon juice

3 oz. soda water

Method:

Mix Collingwood, simple syrup and lemon juice in a highball glass with ice. Top with soda water, garnish and serve.
